The Moderne St Germain Hotel is the big brother of the Sully St Germain Hotel. Architecturally speaking, the two hotels are leaning against each other, and facing the same street. There are differences between the two though.
The Moderne St Germain is indeed much more... modernly decorated. Its rooms are also generally larger in size than the Sully’s. They don’t have the same ‘boutique appeal’ but when surface area matters most to you, the Moderne St Germain could be your favorite.
Both hotels share a fitness center-sauna-hammam, a very rare treat in Paris.... unless you can afford the rates of a palace.
The Moderne’s location is totally prime, in the Latin Quarter and close to the major attractions and monuments of central Paris. Notre Dame cathedral is just 6 minutes away on foot, for instance.
Depending on the period, a 3-night package can go for as low as €70 a night for a double room. Inexpensive in the Latin Quarter.
