The Sully Saint Germain Hotel could be called a « split-personality boutique hotel »
it litterally is divided in 2 wings, one decorated in the medieval genre, the other one completely French bourgeois chic. Guests can almost always be presented with their choice of decor.
On the medieval side, hardwood floors, stonewalls and wrought iron beds make you feel you are travelling back in time to those days where the nobility lived in heavily fortified castles.
The French bourgeois chic wing gives much more of a cocoon feeling, shielding guests from imagined rough weather conditions. Both wings are fully equipped with modern amenities and comforts, including a fitness center, a hammam and a sauna.
The Sully St Germain Hotel sits right in the middle of the Latin Quarter, behind the famed Sorbonne University, a couple of blocks away from the St Germain boulevard, and just minutes on foot from the St Germain des Pres church.
At €85 a night if booked at least 30 days in advance, I say it’s hard to find this cheap a double room in such a super central location.
